We want our guests to be comfortable and be themselves, whatever that means. For those who find more structured directions helpful, consider wearing a nice work outfit or something you'd wear for a night out with friends. Either way - come as you are!

Program

4pm: Ceremony starts 👰🤵
4:45pm: Group & wedding party photos 📸
5:15pm: Reception! 🍴
Between the photos and reception, we invite guests to take pictures of themselves and send an electronically handwritten note to the wedding couple with our photobooth in the reception hall!

Menu

We love sampling food from around the world! One of our favorite places to eat is a Malaysian restaurant in Chicagoland - HD Cuisine. We're excited to share some of our favorite dishes with you! The dishes below will be on the mild side, with options to add some spice for those who want to turn up the heat. Additionally, we'll have fried chicken and sides for those who prefer tastes from closer to home. If you have other dietary needs - e.g., vegetarian or gluten free - let us know in your RSVP and you'll be well cared for (and well fed!).

Things to Note

Is there a gifts registry?

Gifts are not necessary - we appreciate your presence with us in Chicago or through the livestream! If you'd really like to give us something, cash gifts are appreciated, particularly as we save for buying a home in the near future. If you'd prefer to give us a gift instead, a small registry is available here.

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Yes! Please take lots of photos and share them with us.

Where should I park?

There is free parking within a few blocks of the church on N Hermitage Ave, N Ravenswood Ave, N Paulina, and parts of W Wilson Ave. There is also paid two-hour parking available on W Wilson Ave between Hermitage and Ravenswood.

Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?

Yes

Whom should I contact with questions?

You can send any questions to hello@kuoandlelia.com.

How do you pronounce your names?

Kuo-Lun goes by Kuo, pronounced "Quo", Lelia pronounces her name "LIL-yuh". We love that our names are unique (and short!), but we hope you won't be intimidated by them. We'll answer to just about anything close. :)

Will last names be changing after the wedding?

No, Kuo and Lelia will be keeping their own last names (Kuo-Lun Tye and Lelia Fry)

Covid and Masking

We are mask friendly and the health and safety of our family and friends is a top priority. While masking currently is not required, anyone who prefers to wear a mask is encouraged to do so. If CDC or other state, local, or church requirements or recommendations regarding masking change, we will update this section of the website. Be sure to check back here as the wedding date approaches!

We also encourage all guests to test for Covid prior to coming to the wedding. If you test positive and need to change your RSVP, you can do so here.
